So I got myself this cute little 5x7 planner by @katiedaisy_artist and have using it as a gratitude/joy journal. Was inspired by @the.journal.diaries, she does something similar in one of her planners. I don't really journal every day. Sometimes when I miss a few days, I just cover up the dates and do some focused gratitude journaling or ode to something that I enjoy or love. Sometimes I add photos, poetry, and quotes that I love or that inspire me. Trying to cultivate some more joy in my life, so I thought being mindful of what's already in my life that brings me joy and inspiration would be helpful to train my mind to focus on all the good. I've been enjoying journaling in this so far! xx

I want to practice more of THIS this year, so I typed it up and in it went right into my Joy Journal.

Today’s Flip-Through Friday is my December (not so) Daily 2023 journal.

I tried this past December to do a December Daily, as I didn't do one in 2022 and wanted to get back into the flow of doing one every year. This one didn't quite turn out the way I had hoped. But that's okay. I still wanted to share it anyway. So I hope you enjoy.

I started a new #daybookofdreams in this A6 planner some time ago. My pages are B6-sized but they fit so well and snug in this A6 Print Pression planner (I just changed out the rings to fit B6). I loved my Water Your Soul journal so much that I wanted to try keeping a little commonplace-like journal in rings.

I set this planner up AGES ago and upon taking a look through it again, I want to use it for something other than commonplacing. I feel like I commonplace in all of my journals at this point! Still mulling over what I'd like to do with it. Maybe make it into a place where I document my Artist Dates? IDK.

I also have two videos I filmed setting this up and creating this spread in it, I just never got around to editing it. I probably should do that too lol! But I wanted to share this spread incorporating an entire article from @daphnes.diary that I rediscovered in this journal. It's so apt for the season.

More pieces from my #unravelingjournal. This is probably going to be the last I share from my 2023 journaling...I'm planning on using this same journal for this year's unraveling, I just haven't gotten around to journaling yet!

IDK, is it just me, or is there anyone else who feels a bit behind in starting this year? Like, I don't even have intentions set. I think I will be continuing with my 2023 word, which is Heart, but even that I'm not solid on. So I haven't done my new year intentions journaling in my unraveling journal yet because I don't have any at the moment! IDK, I just feel awfully behind on things at the moment. And it doesn't help that I still have loads of 2023 journals that I need to finish.

But I'm trying to just go with the flow of things. A lot of things happened at once at the ending of last year and it all seems to be settling in now. Maybe I just need to settle in too before I really begin. IDK, but I'm trying not to stress myself out about it. This year for me is all about "live and let be" and going with the flow of things. Things that have happened happened and there's no point in stressing about something you can't change. And things that haven't happened yet will in due time, just be patient.

So I'll be exercising patience and giving myself grace this year. I'm a natural worrier, but I'm making the declaration now that this year I'm surrendering control over the unknown and things I have no control over. I'm trusting in the Universe and believing in myself that beautiful things will happen to me when they happen. I'm trusting the divine timing while also taking aligned action. If it's for me, it won't miss me.

I know I'm talking in cliches now, but I'm holding all of it as truth. xx
