It's almost October Magic time!

I have a little process video up on my Youtube channel sharing how I created my introduction spread in my journal. If you've been around long enough, you know that I love creating introduction pages in my themed journals. I don't know what it is, but I just like to have that as the first pages in my journal. I also find that it's a very low-pressure way of beginning your journal because sometimes we just don't know how to start.

Can't wait to actually jump into the challenge! xx

My journal for October Magic!

I've already shared a look at this journal I made over on my Youtube channel, but I hadn't taken a proper photo of it to share here. This is my little A6 snippet journal I made to house my October journaling. I can't wait to begin filling it up!

I'm hoping to journal every day in this one, so I made the cover a little bit wider to accommodate the chunkiness that will occur. I'm determined to journal at least a little something every day! I know I've been seriously busy lately with work, but I really just need to make time for journaling again. If I'm mindful of it, I know I'll have the time to journal and get a little crafty.

I'm excited for October to arrive! xx

Along with my #octobermagic2022 journaling challenge, I created a few new printables that are now up in my shop.

When first thinking about creating an October journal, I pulled every supply from my stash that looked remotely witchy and autumnal. I didn't have much, but I did manage to create a small kit from what I did have (then promptly went onto @acherryontop_crafts to see if I could buy more things...) It was difficult finding things that matched the scheme I had created, so I went to work and designed my own printable...then another one...and another, until I had a little collection of extra bits I could use in my journal.

Well, those bits are up in my shop if you're keen on taking a look.

October is exactly two weeks away and I thought today is the best day to share with you this fun, cute journaling challenge I've created—mostly for myself—but for anyone who wants to play along!

I've never been a holiday person. I was raised not celebrating them, so I never got used to having holidays. Since I've been journaling and memory keeping though, I've always been keen to join in on the monthly documenting around this time. I started keeping a December Daily a few years ago, once I figured out that I can do one that wasn't traditionally holiday-ee. I've always wanted to keep an October Daily, but let's be honest, Halloween just doesn't have my vibe of colors like Christmas does and for some reason, it was a bit harder to make it fit. But, I've decided to give it a try this year.

(And if I'm totally honest, if I were to begin celebrating holidays, the only one I'd want to celebrate is Halloween. It's by far the coolest one of the bunch.)

I'm calling this journaling challenge October Magic and I created this fun list of prompts to keep me on track to documenting a little something each day. I tried my best to keep them a bit open-ended, so while they're spooky-themed, they can be interpreted in a different way. If anything I find these prompts to have more of a mystical "woo woo" vibe and are super seasonal.

I shared a look at the new @daphnes.diary planner for 2023 on my Youtube channel the other day. I have a full flip-through of the entire planner. I also shared how I think I will use mine next year. I'm thinking of keeping it as a memory planner like I did in the one from 2017. I remember this being a very lo-key project that I really enjoyed every Sunday, so I would like to revisit it. Also, out of all of my yearly memory planners and scrapbooks, the one from 2017 is my absolute favorite to look through. It's heavily collaged and all of my journaling is typed recapping the week. I also made it a habit to print out my photos to include, especially the ones I take just to share on IG. Sometimes those don't get printed at all and it's just nice to have a physical record of them, you know? Anyway, I'm really excited to begin working in this planner. Is it 2023 yet? 🤣 xx

I've got a @daphnes.diary haul video up on my channel. I don't generally do haul videos anymore, but I treated myself to some goodies from their shop and wanted to share some flip-throughs of them, in case it would be helpful for people who like to see what they're getting. I can't wait to begin filling up that new planner! I share some ideas I have in a separate video that should be published shortly!
