I had been meaning to alter this Kikki K planner for a while now. I recently did it and shared it on Instagram and on my YouTube channel, but also wanted to share it here. This is the Mint Perforated Kikki K personal planner in the medium (personal) size. I have two of these planners because the first one I got (the one that I altered) came damaged. But since Kikki K has awesome customer service, they sent me a replacement and I was left with the damaged one as well. This planner had been sitting on my self for about a year before I decided to paint it and make it more shabby chic.
I talk through what I did in the video below, but I basically painted the cover with Angelus Leather paint. I wanted to keep it the same mint color, so I found that the Yeezy Collector’s Edition color was the closest match. I purchased the paint at my local Artist + Craftsmen. I then covered the spine with two different fabric ribbons that I got at Michaels. For the inside, I ended up changing the lining of the planner to this really pretty floral fabric I got from Shabby Fabrics. I used Heat N Bond sheets I purchased at Michaels to adhere the fabric to the inside cover.
I talk about how tricky it was to add the fabric lining in the video. But all in all, I think this alteration came out really well!
