I pulled some things out to start a new project on I pulled some things out to start a new project once my temp job ends at the end of this week. And it got me thinking of a creative journaling class I've been meaning to create basically walking you through how to create and keep journals in my style. I don't know, is that something you would be interested in?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Obviously, I'll show you how to create a unique handmade journal, but I was also thinking of going into the technical stuff too, like my own personal color theory, supplies and materials I like to use and where I get them, journaling ideas and techniques, how I find inspiration, etc. I'm thinking this would be an intro to journaling like me sort of course.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Please let me know in the comments if that's something you'd be interested in. What are some things you're curious about that I do that you'd want to learn from me?
Book 10/25: A Totally Awkward Love Story by Tom El Book 10/25: A Totally Awkward Love Story by Tom Ellen and Lucy Ivison⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Rating: ✩✩✩⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I finished this book the other day. It was okay. It was unexpectedly British. Very late teen, I-need-to-lose-my-virginity-now sort of book. Honestly, not too far off from the last book I read, but definitely way lighter and less vulgar. Still it was ehh. I was quite frustrated at times when the two main characters just never made it together in moments when you would think it would be obvious to both of them that they like each other, but whatever. I also really hated the female MC's best friend. She was a real witch. I can't say I recommend this one either.

We are all constantly changing, ebbing and flowing, always evolving.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I wrote this little "Note to Self" in my unraveling journal when the thought popped into my head. I've been thinking a lot about fluidity and how we as people are fluid. Everything about us is fluid. I think the thought initially occurred to me when trying to explain pronouns to my mom. Like the idea of the binary is pretty absurd when you really think about it because everything is a spectrum. In terms of gender identity, you can identify however you want. If you are female, then you are female. But I also understand those who feel female one day, but more male the next. And I totally get not feeling like either too. And you can change, you know? And it doesn't mean you're "lost" or "confused," it just means you're doing the work to better understand yourself and who you are and how you fit. You're evolving and that's beautiful.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The idea of fluidity has really been something that's been on my mind for awhile now in terms of my own attraction preference. I was telling a friend the other day that I'm almost sure I'm on the aro/ace spectrum. My level of attraction (both romantic and sexual) is not always so clear cut at times. It definitely fluctuates in phases, going from high intensity attraction to very low/almost non-existent. Most of the time it's somewhere in between. But it's really interesting for me to note these phases as being something that's not broken within myself, you know? So I made a note of it here in my journal just to remind myself. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I love how I can speak my truth in my journal. It listens. I hope you can all speak your own truths today too. xx

My spread for Day 8 of #junkjournaljuly. My moment My spread for Day 8 of #junkjournaljuly. My momentum stalled slightly because of life, but I'm trying not to think that I'm "behind." I think that way of thinking for us creatives and memory keepers is what halts us. It overwhelms us for no apparent really and we do it to ourselves—not all of us though, but if you're like me, the thought is crippling. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So I've been trying not to think of these sort of challenges with a time limit. I would probably be helpful to not even call them by their "days," but for some reason that seems more universal than saying "prompt 7." But anyway, I'm trying to not see myself as behind in this journal challenge. I'm 100% ready to take Junk Journal July into August. It keeps me motivated and inspired to continue journaling the way that I have despite life being incredibly busy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Anyway, this prompt was Wanderlust and oh boy do I miss traveling a lot! I had these cute little suitcases I cut out of a @daphnes.diary magazine that were just begging for me to use on this spread. I wrote out a short list of all the places I've been wanting to visit or go back to. I definitely have a way longer list that this, but I just scribbled the places that popped into my head first! I can't wait until it's safe again to travel.
