the art of journaling + get messy season of love: ee cummings poem

eecum1

i like my body when it is with your
body. It is so quite new a thing.
Muscles better and nerves more.
i like your body.  i like what it does,
i like its hows.  i like to feel the spine
of your body and its bones, and the trembling
-firm-smooth ness and which i will
again and again and again
kiss, i like kissing this and that of you,
i like, slowly stroking the, shocking fuzz
of your electric furr, and what-is-it comes
over parting flesh….And eyes big love-crumbs,

and possibly i like the thrill

of under me you so quite new

– ee cummings

For this spread, I responded to one of the prompts from the Get Messy Season of Love that asked to incorporate one of the ee cummings poems provided. So, I printed out the poem above to include directly onto my page. I didn’t really have much of a thought process for this spread. I just did whatever I felt like doing. I did however want to continue to include a few elements that have appeared in my previous spreads, like the ink splatters, watercolor effects and pen scribbles. I also used the same pink colors for this spread as well. I like that it makes all of my spread for this season cohesive without matching too much.
