geoscrapping: documenting your travels on the go online class

July 31, 2015

Since the start of May, I’ve been working hard on my first ever online class. I’ve been wanting to make an online class for a while and had started working on an art journaling class that wasn’t really coming together the way I had wanted it to. I wasn’t really into it after awhile, so I abandoned it for something else. I had a planner-related class in mind and had started working on it up until and whole bunch of new planner classes started popping up everywhere and that sort of bummed me out about it because how many different planner classes can their be? So I was really discouraged and at a complete loss of what my class would be about. So I forgot about it for a bit. Then I remembered something a friend of mine suggested when I was struggling with my art journal class. She suggested I do a travel-themed course, since I love traveling and always make really neat travel journals from them while I travel. So that got me thinking…

I recently got into the whole Midori Traveller’s Notebook trend and started making my own journals in the style out of fabric. I know tons of people do this now, but on Instagram a few people had asked if I could teach them. So I thought it all over one day and came up with Geoscrapping.

Geoscrapping is my travel journaling course where I share my tips and tricks on how to properly scrapbook/journal your travels while on the go as you travel. In the course you make your own Midori-styled travel journal and learn to set it up in order for you to be able to compile your scrapbook on the go. I know a lot of us scrapbookers have a very hard time when it comes to packing up a little scrapbook kit to take with us on vacations and trips and such–we just want to bring our entire craft room–but in this class I share some tips on how to make your own travel scrapbook kit that includes all of the bare essentials, but still keep it personal and inspiring in regards to where you’re traveling and your particular documenting tastes.

All of the course content is up on a private blog, so once you purchase the course, you will receive an email with all the site and password information to log in to it. All of the class content will be available the moment you log in, so no waiting around until the class launches. This is a self-paced course and you can begin it at anytime that’s most convenient for you! This is a great class for travelers who wish to memorialize their travels in a neat little scrapbook but don’t really know how and most enjoyable for seasoned scrapbookers who just need a bit of help travel scrapping lightly and effectively!

This is my first ever class and I’m excited but also really terrified! I honestly don’t know how people will respond to it, but I’m hoping for the best. If you happen to be interested in it, please check out the full description on my courses site here: courses.

For direct purchase of my course, check this link here!

Use the coupon code “wander15” in my shop to get 15% off your purchase of my class. Code valid until August 15th, 2015.

And I just want to thank you all for your support, whether it’s from reading my blog, following me on social media or even buying my course. Thanks in advanced! :)

I shared a quick process of creating this spread in my @daphnes.diary scrapbook on my Youtube channel the other day. I haven't been very good at sharing these pages (or any journal pages) here lately. TBH, I've kind of been focusing on other things recently and doing more straight writing journaling than creative journaling. It's weird. I'm in a weird space. But I also feel like I'm supposed to be in this space, you know?

I shared the quick process of creating this spread in my @daphnes.diary scrapbook on my Youtube channel the other day. I'm quite behind in sharing all of these pages (and to be honest quite behind in actually documenting my last few weeks) but it is what it is. I'm not stressing it...just like how I'm not stressing that I'm MONTHS behind in my 5-year journal lol. Glad I've been daily journaling in my planner! xx

My new (small) TBR book stack for this year. I have it to hopefully read 20 books this year, but I decided to only pull out about 10 to see if I can get through that first. Y'all, I'm terrible at reading these days. I think I just need to do better at making time for it, so I started reading before bed. We'll see how it goes. Friend me on Goodreads: www.goodreads.com/aerialovely! I love seeing everyone's challenges! xx

Baby boy is 15 years old today! He's no little boy anymore, but a fine old senior dog (actually I think technically he's geriatric). He's definitely slowed down quite a bit with his thyroid problem and just general old age. C19 has definitely been really hard on him. He was struggling with his hyperactive thyroid all through 2020 and no one could figure out why he was so sad and blah until mid-2021 when he got properly diagnosed. But since being on his meds, he's got that puppy spirit again! He does have some separation anxiety now and literally needs to be with people constantly. But that's a given especially since there's always someone home now for him to be with. But it's getting better though! The absolute highlight of his week though is going over to our neighbor's apartment every Tuesday as I tutor one of the girls in math. He gets SO happy then because he gets to play lol. HBD Joey! xx

Driftwood—documenting the signs and synchronicities I see in my life. I'm paying attention to these little coincidences of life. At the beginning of the year, I took @gabbybernstein's manifestation challenge and she had us choose something to be our sign so that whenever we see it, it's a sign from the Universe that what we want is actually on the way. I chose "seeing hearts" because it felt right and aligned with my guiding word for the year, Heart. Gabby asked us to keep a list of all the driftwood we collect, and my god have I been seeing hearts. And while what I desire might not happen right away, I feel like this is the Universe’s way of telling me to trust—to let go and trust.

Into the unraveling journal it all goes. Happy Friday loves. xx
