I've been slowly working on a new class I hope to share soon. Between that and work, I haven't had the time to post anything here or on my channel. And I've got about four other photo posts drafted with no captions. Do people read captions anymore? Do y'all even see my posts? lol. I'm not particularly fussed about it even though I would like to post more often. Anyway, I worked through some hard feelings on this spread, which is from one of the lessons in my new class coming soon. xx

Revisiting my December Daily journals over on my YouTube channel today. Just trying to get some ideas on how I want to approach my journal for this year. Are you keeping a December Daily? Or some other kind of December journal this year?

Books 8/20: 11 Paper Hearts by Kelsey Hartwell
Rating: ✩✩✩✩✩

I devoured this book. Best $5 I spent at Five Below, tbh. I definitely recommend it if you like cute YA romances. The MC in this one also had an accident, which subsequently gave her amnesia that wiped 11 months of her life from her memory. She struggles to remember what happened in those 11 months before her accident but can't and the doctors say she may never remember.

Anyway, the book starts off with her back to school. It's her senior year and for V-Day, her school does these paper heart swaps, where everyone sends each other little Valentine heart notes, some signed and some anonymous. The MC ends up getting a series of 11 mysterious paper hearts from a secret admirer who claims to know what happened in those 11 months and vows that if MC finds all 11 paper hearts she'll remember too.

The cutest scavenger hunt for paper hearts ensues and history subsequently begins to repeat itself.

That's it. That's all I'm giving away cause it's the cutest read (at least it was a read my spirit definitely needed right now) and if you're remotely interested, you should pick up a copy! xx

Books 7/20: The Trouble with Shooting Stars by Meg Cannistra
Rating: ✩✩✩✩✩

I finished this book a couple of nights ago. I hadn't read anything in a while and this was just the most delightful read! It's YA—middle grade to be exact—and it's about a young girl who is healing from an accident that has her wearing a mask on her face. She meets her new neighbors, who are a family of stars and moon caretakers and spends her nights flying into space in a zeppelin with the two siblings while dealing with life after her accident. I loved it and recommend it if you want a sweet read.

Can I be honest? I hadn't art journaled in a VERY LONG TIME and had no idea what I was doing here. But I love that I played around with mediums and supplies I hadn't used in a while and just went with the flow. I enjoyed the process and think the spread came out alright.
