Just a bit of what I like to call "found poetry" in my journal. I always find it interesting what sorts of words jump out at me at different periods of my life. I find them very telling of what goes on in that wild subconscious of mine.

Slowly getting into my new journal. Not much happening in my life at the moment. It's kind of blah. I've been feeling incredibly stagnant in all aspects of my life recently and it's been getting me a bit down. I know this feeling is temporary, but it still really sucks. So I've just been enjoying sticking things that I love into this journal. Trying to see the little slivers of light through all the fog. xx

Summer Stories Journal. Today's Flip-Through Friday is my 2021 Summer Stories journal.I finished this journal at the end of September, and while I already shared a chatty flip through video of it on my Youtube channel, I wanted to also share a quick look at it here. This is a little artist in bloom journal I made to document my summer. It ended up being more of a catch-all sort of journal—with an emphasis on THE JOURNALING—and I love how it turned out.I really rediscovered writing my thoughts and feeling out this summer and how that's a very important part of journaling, no matter what sort of journaling you do. I know a lot of us are all about the creative process a lot of the time in our journals, but the act of writing things down is beneficial too. So I really wanted some of those little low librar

So I really wanted some of those little low library card pockets that you can get in bulk on Amazon, but I really didn't want to spend money on like 100+ library card pockets when I only wanted a few of them to alter and use in my journals. They looked simple enough that I decided instead to create my own from just some plain cardstock and scrap pieces of paper.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I absolutely LOVE how these turned out! They are so quick and easy to make and you can literally batch make them and use up all your little scraps. I love that.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I really really liked this book! I don't know why I thought I wouldn't like it—probably because her previous book wasn't too great—but I really liked this one! I love it when I'm pleasantly surprised. It's your typical YA Dessen novel, except I really liked the fact that the romance bit was exactly that—just a bit. It wasn't the whole novel—not that all of her novels are—but I enjoyed how this one focused more on self-discovery and discovering ones family and roots. It was great. I definitely recommend this one!
